Our Story

Abaya Lounge began from humble beginnings as a family of four in the United Kingdom in 2022. With just 25 styles and a vision to bring high-end modest fashion to the world, we embarked on a journey that combined our passion for fashion with the desire to provide unique and stylish options for the modern, modest wardrobe.

Starting a small family-run business while juggling full-time jobs was challenging, but the potential of Abaya Lounge was evident from the very beginning. Within weeks of our launch, we sold out completely. This overwhelming response inspired us to dive deeper into understanding our market and refining our brand. For the next two years, we dedicated ourselves to research and design, working closely with mentors, web developers, and a host of experts to transform Abaya Lounge into what it is today.

Fast forward to 2024, and we now operate from a dedicated office and warehouse, with a talented in-house team managing all aspects of Abaya Lounge's online operations. From research and design to customer service, web development, business intelligence, digital media, marketing, and fulfilment, our team works tirelessly to ensure that every piece we offer meets the highest standards of quality and style.

By February 1, 2022, Abaya Lounge launched its website featuring 25 unique styles, all managed from a humble office within our home, marking our first step into the online marketplace.

March 2022

Sold Out Sitewide

In March 2022, Abaya Lounge experienced a sitewide sell-out, a significant milestone that underscored the brand's potential and the growing demand for our stylish abayas.

April 2022

Research & Development

April 2023 marked a period of intensive research and development, where we collaborated closely with designers, web developers, marketing specialists, business intelligence experts, models, photographers, and more, to refine and enhance our offerings.

September 2023

Abaya Lounge New Website Under Development

By September 2023, we embarked on a major project to completely redesign our website, aiming to launch with 100 new styles, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

December 2023

Production Starts for Abaya Lounge

In December 2023, we began production with an ambitious target of manufacturing 5,000 abayas, preparing to meet the increasing demand with high-quality products.

February 2024

Abaya Lounge Signs Lease Agreement

On February 1, 2024, Abaya Lounge moved into a new facility, signing a lease agreement for warehouse and office space. This new location became the hub for all our online operations, enhancing our capacity and efficiency.

August 2024

Abaya Lounge New Website Launch with 175+ Styles

On August 1, 2024, we proudly launched our redesigned website, now featuring over 175 styles and a stock of more than 8,000 abayas, marking a new chapter in our journey of growth and innovation.
